OUR JOURNEY
In 1970 Wayman and Nelda Mitchell moved to Prescott to take over a small, struggling congregation. Shortly after arriving, God saved several young hippies who were very different from anyone in the church. But as they were welcomed, God began to pour out His Spirit on the congregation. As Pastor Mitchell sought to reach young people, they saw the possibilities of the “coffee-house” concert ministry. At the first concert, they ever tried as an evangelistic tool, more than 200 young people attended, with many saved. Out of this, a regular concert ministry was birthed. 2 nights a week, bands played, testimonies of salvation were given, and the Gospel was preached, with many being saved each night.
In September of 1989 the vision continued when Pastor Ronald Meyer and his wife Bridget moved to Jacksonville with their family and a hope…that many would come to know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We have been reaching the Jacksonville Area and beyond for over 25 years. Our heartbeat is to continue to plant churches and send missionaries to regions beyond.
OUR ROOTS
Victory Chapel is a Christian Fellowship Ministries' Church (CFM). CFM, Inc. was founded in 1970 by Pastor Wayman Mitchell. A spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. Now, over 3,200 churches have been planted in over 130 nations of the world with the number growing daily. From that, crusades and conferences sprung up that are touching tens of thousands every year. This church is a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus' return. God has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth. Jesus Christ is the only hope for man's salvation and that is true with every person in every nation on the globe. In a world full of empty dreams and false promises is a truth which grows stronger every year, and that is Jesus Christ and Him crucified!
LOCAL LEADERSHIP
In our local church, God has given us a powerful revival of men and we are obeying the command by Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..." As we have grown as a church, men have grown into leadership roles which have been the foundation of our Church council. Each of our Council members has been with us since at or near the beginning of our foundation and also play active roles in church ministry positions.

Ron & Bridget Meyer
Founder and Pastor
Pastor Ron Meyer and his wife Bridget are the founders of the Jacksonville Church. Since 1989 they have faithfully served Victory Chapel. Their love and desire to see people know Jesus as they do has driven them to take every opportunity to minister to many thousands over that period.
Jeremy & Tiffany Meyer
Assistant Pastor
Pastor Jeremy Meyer serves as the Assistant Pastor to the Jacksonville Church, aided by his wife Tiffany. Jeremy Meyer is one of the founding members of the Jacksonville Church in 1989. His wife Tiffany came to Jacksonville in 1997. They were married in the church in 1999 and have been faithful in several ministries prior to being added to the Pastoral Staff. Starting in Children’s Church, moving on to serve in the Lifeline Teen Ministry and Door Directors they have impacted many through their desire to see people know Jesus as they do.
Having both been saved and brought up in church both Pastor Jeremy and Tiffany live and speak a relevant word to a younger generation who need direction and biblical influences in their lives. Pastor Jeremy and Tiffany invite you to come and experience a living God through His Word, Prayer, Worship, and Relationship.
